July 16-17-18 Three Days on the Katy Trail

The Katy Trail is a beautifully maintained crushed gravel trail that runs across Missouri. It is the longest rails-to-trails trail in the US. The roads are great, shaded by trees over much of the trail, coursing along the Missouri River at points and along some large bluffs. The weather has been hot. (What was I expecting in Missouri in July). We passed some interesting towns- Tightwad, Missouri and Peculiar, Missouri. The two B and Bs ( Bed and Breakfast) that we stayed at were great, especially the second B. I think I may be on pace to actually gain weight at the end of 3800 miles of cycling.
